Revenues up 26% in the quarter

PAREXEL 4Q Revenues: $457.7 million (+26%) 4Q Earnings: $17.8 million (loss of $1.6 million in 4Q11) FY Revenues: $1.6 billion (+14%) FY Earnings: $63.2 million (+29%) Comments: Clinical Research Services (CRS) was $292.1 million in the quarter, up 25%. PAREXEL Consulting & Medical Communications Services (PCMS) was $49.7 million (+41%). Perceptive Informatics (PI) service revenue was $50.8 million (+20%). New business wins were $601.9 million in the quarter, with a book-to-bill ratio of 1.53, generating backlog of approximately $4.4 billion. Loss in 4Q11 included restructuring charges of $4.3 million of facility-related costs, $1.5 million in severance costs, and $3.1 million in impairment charges related to exited facilities.
